What We Do

Every week looks a little different, as the Holy Spirit leads us in to new areas of ministry, and guides us in what we should do. However, we have a number of regular events that happen most weeks. You should always check our calendar (Online calendar coming soon) for the most up-to-date information of what we are doing each week.

Sunday Worship

We gather for worship each Sunday from 10:30.

Our service includes sung worship, which may include both modern songs and older hymns, preaching and teaching from God’s word, sharing and encouragement, including an opportunity for individuals to walk in the spiritual gifts God has given them, as the Lord leads, and prayer and thanksgiving.

The first Sunday of each month is a special service called “Sharing Sunday” which includes an opportunity for individuals to bring what the Lord has laid on their heart — including scripture, testimonies, praise reports, songs, poems, words of encouragement, or other things they want to share — and includes communion. It is followed by a bring-and-share potluck meal, which is open to all.

We aim to wrap up the main part of our service by 12:30, except on occasions where the Lord moves us in a different direction, though we often linger together together for fellowship over tea, coffee, and snacks, and there are usually people here well into the afternoon. We also understand that some people have other commitments, so it is never a problem if you need to leave early.

Some people choose to meet before the service from 9:30 for prayer.

We aim to have Children’s Church most weeks during the sermon, however this is not always possible depending on available volunteers. Activities for younger children are provided at the back of church if we are unable to provide a children’s program

Prayer

We meet in church for prayer and intercession on Monday Evening from 7:00 PM. We usually pray for at least 2 hours, but people come and go throughout the evening, as they are able. Sometimes, we come with a clear agenda for what God is asking us to pray for, other times, we have a time of quieter reflection and personal intercession. We also make space for intentional “Listening Prayer” about specific areas as God leads us.

It is a relaxed, informal, but intimate time of prayer before God, and those who attend are always blessed.

Church is also available for prayer Tuesday from 12:30 until we begin coffee house, and Thursday morning, from around 9:30 until around noon. You may be the only one here praying during that time, but the building is available. If you would like to pray during these times, but do not have a key to open up, if you are the first (or only) one here, please contact Pastor Luke, who will ensure someone is here with you.

Coffee House

We meet from around 3:00 until around 6 (or later) for coffee house each Tuesday. Church is open for good coffee (including espresso based drinks like Latte, Cappuccino, americano, etc) as well as teas, hot chocolate, snacks, and great conversation. It is open to all, and you are free to drop in as you are able. It is totally free, though donations are always welcome, and open to all, whether you come to church regularly or not.

After School Club

For elementary aged kids, we open up on Wednesday, after school, for a drop-in club with fun, games, crafts, snacks and activities. You can find our more on our “Children’s Ministry” page,

Ladies Bible Study

Each week, we have a women’s bible study, where our ladies get together for fellowship, encouragement, and to study what God has to say about things that are relevant to them. For more info, contact Teena.
